This is a miniature Tattoo USA lipstick. It's just 1 inch high and 1/4 inch in diameter. The silvertone case is covered with etched bare breasted hula dancers. There is little of the lipstick left in the tube (not to be used).
Tattoo was made in Chicago during the 1930's by James Leslie Younghusband, a former military and stunt pilot. The brand lasted into the 50's, but his hula girl design is from the 30's. The branding was some what risque for its day! The cosmetics company SAVAGE was the sister company to TATTOO USA. These two companies merged in the 1930’s.
