This is a fantastic old Art Deco Czech 900 Silver Hallmarked Ladies 2 piece travel Beauty Set.
Both pieces are beautifully decorated with engraved brickwork decoration.
The Lipstick Case and Comb are both fully hallmarked with Czechoslovakian Solid Silver Hallmarks - a triangle with the number '3' and a Cross, '900' and a Maker's Mark which we have not identified (see photos). The Comb is hallmarked on both sides.
These hallmarks were in use beginning in about 1929.
We date this set to about the 1930s.
Superb Quality.
The
Silver Comb Holder
measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) in length.
It folds open and closed very well and stays closed tightly and securely, just as it should.
The Original Plastic Comb is still present and intact.
The
Lipstick Holder Case
measures 2 inches (5 cm) in length.
It has a red cloth tassel.
The lid / cover also fits
very well and stays closed tightly and securely, just as it should.
It has a small button so that the tube of lipstick can be raised and lowered, as needed.
There are
no
monograms or initials.
Both of these lovely items would have neatly fit in an elegant ladies' handbag or purse.

The Inside of the lipstick holder has scratches from being opened and the interior has overall tarnish (see photos).
The lipstick holder has a few minor dents (see photos).
The comb could use some light cleaning (see photos).
Otherwise, the Set is in Very Good
